Max’s, Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, & The Palace Theatre!

08 June

Dear Folks and Friends,

I LOVE this late spring weather! And I’ve nearly transitioned into being a parent of a kid who’s no longer in school 5 days a week! How ’bout you??

Hey, would you all do me a favor? If you have a copy of the Umpteen Moons CD would you mind visiting my CDBaby site and writing a review of it? If you don’t have a copy, what’s holding you back?

Still not sure how to sell The Three Eyed Dragon, my children’s picture book, on my web site… You can get copies in Bloomington at Landlocked Records, Bloomington Area Birth Services, and The Green Nursery though.

You know, it IS the Year of The Dragon! Why not celebrate with a copy of Kid Kazooey’s first book, The Three Eyed Dragon?!

So, here’s what I got for us all in June, baby:

Sunday, June 10, Max’s Place, Bloomington, IN, 3-4:30p, Kid Kazooey Pizza Parlour Entertainment Extraordinaire, $5 suggested donation. While I’ve had to cancel the last 2 months of Max’s gigs to do Easter and Mother’s Day plans, this Sunday presents the perfect opportunity for us all to pick songs out of fake books, play magic rocks, enjoy a kazoo solo or two, and check out my new guitar amp!

Saturday, June 30, Brown County’s Palace Theatre, Nashville, IN, Kid Kazooey & The BallRoom Roustabouts, 4-5p, $10 adults, $5 kids 3-16. This is the first show in a series we are doing in collaboration with Lonely Street Productions, the fine folks who bring us the Elvis and Johnny Cash tribute shows in Nashville. We will have 9 shows, all saturdays at 4p, between now and October. The band is very excited to have a “run” at a theatre! Please do try and make some of these, as they will have little special thangs that you can only pull off in a theatre, not a pizza joint!

Now, the  two weddings and Bar Mitzvah… Unless you are invited to these private events, you’ll have to use your imagination! But I’ll tell you this much, One wedding is Ukulele, Bass and Mrs. Kazooey singing, the other is in the redwoods of California, and the Bar Mitzvah is with The Pirate Flags! How cool is that!?

In July, look for us at People’s Park, Tuesday, July 3, 11:30a-1p, as part of the Bloomington Parks & Rec Concert Series!

Love y’all! Any questions?

Mr. Kid
