Kid Kazooey & The BallRoom Roustabouts’ long awaited new recording, Umpteen Moons, is well worth the wait! Described as “caffeine for kids”, by Kid Kazooey, it is the perfect obverse to Kazooey’s earlier Christmas lullaby release. “One record is great for putting them to bed, and the other for waking them up!”, says Kid.
With 14 original tunes and 2 traditional instrumentals, the 52 minute long CD stays mainly in the pop rock idiom, with day trips in folk, ragtime, tango and klezmer. Instrumentation is electric guitar, bass and drums throughout, while featuring accordion, saxophone, banjo, melodica, recorder, and kazoo, of course!
